3DT’s PlasmaDyne uses atmospheric plasma technology to treat a wide variety of surfaces such as plastics, rubber, glass, metals, paperboard and composites. Through this process, the atmospheric plasma (a highly ionized air stream) re-structures the chemical properties of the surface to create a powerful bond between the substrate and adhesives, coatings, laminates, paint, and ink. Plasma is also effective for cleaning surfaces by removing impurities, contaminants, residue, and organic compounds.

This super-sized PlasmaDyne system is designed to accommodate the components of four plasma treating heads. Atmospheric plasma (a highly-ionized air stream) re-structures the chemical properties of the surface creating conditions for a secure bonding of glue lines to cardboard boxes.

PlasmaDyne is well-suited for carton folding lines with each treating head programmed to operate independently. This feature provides flexibility for numerous glue line and carton applications. PlasmaDyne is available with 1 – 4 heads depending on the number of glue linesIMG_4776 required.

This advanced plasma treatment system designed for the surface treatment of automotive rubber seals is a self-contained unit that easily integrates into extrusion lines. PlasmaDyne generates an in air or atmospheric plasma beam to uniformly treat rubber surfaces for powerful adhesion of ink, glue, coatings, and flocking on rubber and other substrates.
